One Pot Wonder
A quick and easy recipe for college students!
This recipe makes 2 servings of a pasta dish. It is a chicken, parmesan, and broccoli pasta dish. This dish is simple and easy, requiring little cooking ability. It takes about 30 minutes to make.
For this reipe you will need 1 pot, a knife to cut the chicken, and a bowl to eat out of.
- 2 chicken strips
- 8 oz pasta (your choice)
- 6 oz broccoli
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- 2 tbs olive oil
- 2 tsp garlic
- spices of your choice
- 1 cup chicken broth (optional)
- Prepare the chicken
- -cut the chicken into small chunks
- -heat the olive oil in your pot
- Cook the chicken
- -Cook the chicken and garlic in the olive oil until it is browned and no longer pink on the inside
- -When it is done remove the chicken from the pot
- Cook the Pasta
- -rinse out the pot and add the water and chicken broth (optional)
- -boil the water and then add your pasta (cooking times depend on type of pasta)
- -add the frozen broccoli halfway through the pasta cook time
- Strain the pasta
- -strain the water leaving a little water left in the bottom of the pot
- Season the dish
- -add in whatever seasonings you want! I use garlic, onion, parprika, salt, and pepper
- -add in the parmesan
- -add the chicken back in
- Mix it all together and serve
